Our fifth graders have been busy! Students built balloon powered cars from scratch with the challenge of getting them to travel at least 60 cm. They learned the engineering process and then built the cars in small groups. They did a grade level competition and a group from Mrs. H's class won! Great work fifth grade!

Dragons in the Canyon

Another successful Dragons in the Canyon trip took place last week. Dragons enjoyed rain, fog, sleet, snow and sunny skies all in 48 hours. Chaperones and students had a blast and made memories that will last a lifetime. Of the many fun activities students loved night swimming and taking a raft tour down the Colorado River.

The application is being written to create before and after school programs for students at Centennial, Homer Davis, Laguna, Richardson, and Flowing Wells Junior High. Stories that Soar

Stories That Soar visited our campus once again to perform Homer Davis stories on stage last week! We fed the Magic Box nearly 1,000 stories! WHOA! We also had another edition of Dragon Challenges where teachers competed against students in a watermelon eating competition and Mr. V and Ms. H squared off in a chubby bunny contest.

Online registration for all current elementary students who will be returning in the 2018-2019 school year begins April 23, 2018. We hope online registration will save you time and will improve the accuracy of our records. (Note: New students should register in person at the school office, and students who will be attending Flowing Wells Junior High School next year will receive information in June for the July online registration process.)
